Syracuse OL Battle for Season Opener | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse’s offensive line is heating up for football season under new coach Juan Castillo, who’s got the experience to turn young talent into a dominant unit. Trevion Mack returns at left tackle, proving his reliability, while five-star recruit Kam Pringle steps into right tackle with potential to unlock his ceiling. Byron Washington’s power at guard could anchor the run game, and transfer Oluwafunto Akinshilo brings familiarity with Castillo’s system. Coaches are experimenting with combinations, including freshman standout Matthew Hawn and breakout candidate Javeion Cooper, who could step in early if needed. With the season opener near, the question is: can this unit gel fast enough to protect the QB and open lanes for the run?
