Syracuse Recruits Charged in Philly Assault

Two Syracuse football recruits, QB Charlie Foulke and CB Masiia Acrey, face felony aggravated assault charges after allegedly attacking two people in Philadelphia in April — injuries requiring hospitalization. Arrested months later, they’re still being considered for the 2027 class despite the serious allegations, following official visits where they reportedly explained their side. A third athlete was also charged. Both face potential prison time, with preliminary hearings coming soon — while Acrey’s lawyer claims he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and expects charges to be dropped.
