Syracuse to Play Wake Forest in Toronto | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse football is setting the stage for a wild 2027 season opener — kicking off on August 27th in Toronto against Wake Forest, marking their 14th all-time meeting and the first-ever “Week Zero” game in Canada. Despite being played at BMO Field during the bustling Canadian National Exhibition, it’ll count as a Wake Forest home game. Syracuse holds the historical edge (7-6), last winning 35-31 in 2023. The nationally televised showdown (ABC or ESPN) is just the start — they’ll also face Penn State and UConn in non-conference games, plus a Fordham matchup yet to be scheduled, all while navigating the ACC’s new nine-game conference slate.
