Syracuse University Hires Notre Dame's Yulander Wells Jr.

Syracuse University appoints Notre Dames Yulander Wells Junior as new COO, overseeing football and working alongside head coach Fran Brown. This move is part of a larger athletics department reshuffle, with Bryan Blair taking over as full-time AD and filling key positions left by retirements and departures. Wells brings valuable experience from Notre Dame, where he led business strategy and secured a lucrative apparel deal. As college sports prepares to pay athletes directly, Syracuse plans to cover costs through fundraising, income boosting, and cost-cutting, aiming to stay competitive with extra cash from boosters and businesses.
