Syracuse’s Freak Linebackers Dominate List | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Syracuse’s linebacker corps is exploding onto the college football scene with two freakish athletes making Bruce Feldman’s annual top list—Chris D’Appolonia at 45 and Antoine Deslauriers at 52. D’Appolonia, a transfer from Toledo, brings elite athleticism: 6’3”, 240 lbs, 37” vertical, 21+ mph speed, and a 375 lb bench. Deslauriers, a Freshman All-American, packs 6’1”, 235 lbs, 21.48 mph speed, and a 390 lb bench. With another standout, Jamie Tremble, nearly making the cut, defensive coordinator Vince Kehres is assembling a physical force that could fix Syracuse’s pass rush woes—and turn the linebackers into game-changers.
