Syracuse's Rating Shift in College Football

Syracuse’s college football roster is heating up with standout cornerback Chris Peal, rated a 90 and the only ACC corner to crack that mark, leading a team now down to just seven players above 80 overall — down from twelve last year. Peal’s elite rating ties him for ninth-best CB in the game, while QB Steve Angeli and linebacker Antoine Deslauriers also shine in ACC rankings. Despite that, Syracuse sits tied for 60th nationally with a 78 overall rating — neck-and-neck with Georgia Tech and Wake Forest — and trails ACC rivals like Boston College and Stanford. Their offense (77) lags behind their defense (80), but an upcoming simulation experiment will test how far they’ve come — and how far they might go.
