Syracuse’s Rising Edge Rusher | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

A rising star from Potomac School in McLean, Virginia, sophomore edge rusher Jonathan Jordan is already turning heads with elite production and a growing list of offers — including a major surprise from Power Four Syracuse. Grateful for the offer, which came directly from defensive coaches John Scott Jr. and Jeremy Hawkins, Jordan praised their energy and culture, echoing his deep faith as he embraces this blessing. He’s built a strong rapport with Syracuse recruiter Alex Kelly since his sophomore year, and even returned to campus last January for Junior Day — enjoying the vibe, food, and game-day atmosphere. On the field, Jordan’s stats speak volumes: 50 tackles, 8 sacks, 13 TFLs, helping his team to a 6-3 record. He describes himself as explosive, versatile, and relentless — driven by personal goals and a high motor on every play. Looking ahead, he’s focused on leadership and unit cohesion, ready to elevate his game and dominate the defensive line this fall.
