Systems Thinking: How To Harness New Year’s Energy Into Life-Long Success (Part 2)

from Fit Mother Project Podcast

Episode 58 of the Fit Mother Project Podcast continues our talk about systems thinking and how to crush your goals, not just this month or next month but well into the future! As we discussed in Part 1, systems thinking is a holistic mindset that interconnects every aspect of your life. You (mind, body, and soul) are a system, as is your family, community, city, state, and country. When we look at ourselves as a series of systems, and understand every part within them, we can make better decisions, stay focused and motivated, and conquer any goal we set.Your body is a dynamic, interconnected system — trillions of cells, gut bacteria, thoughts, emotions, etc., all of it is connected. The pressures of work, family, and life are constantly interacting with your goals, desires, and habits, but when you can see the bigger picture, you can create a more robust system that gets you better results in the short term and sustains those results in the long term. If you missed Part 1, definitely go back and check it out!But even if you don’t, this episode will give you massive value, as we apply this idea that you are an interconnected dynamic being to the different stages that we move through on our health and fitness journey. So no matter what stage you're at in your journey, whether you're just starting or a Fit Mother veteran, you’ll love this conversation! In this episode, you’ll learn: How to get started and/or find your motivation. How to face temptations and setbacks.Dealing with changing relationships. How to keep the positive momentum rolling.Ways to keep reinventing yourself and finding new goals. And so much more! So, if you want to get the most from your health and fitness efforts, listen to this episode on systems thinking, take some notes, and and check out FM30X! What is FM30X?FM30X is a simple, sustainable, and specific weight loss program that is designed especially for busy women over 40. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
