SZA - Saturn
from Pitch Perfect Hosted by Landon Hayes
SZA, born Solána Imani Rowe, has emerged as a distinctive voice in the music industry, blending R&B, hip-hop, and soul in her work. Raised in a Muslim household, she faced challenges related to identity and faith, which later influenced her deeply personal and introspective music. Her debut album, *Ctrl*, received critical acclaim for its exploration of modern relationships, self-esteem, and the female experience. With a background that includes a transition from studying marine biology to pursuing music full-time and a stage name inspired by the Supreme Alphabet and the influence of RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, SZA's journey reflects her unique path as an artist. Her second studio album, *SOS*, further solidified her impact, staying atop the Billboard 200 for ten non-consecutive weeks. Though "Saturn" remains unreleased, the anticipation around it underscores her fans' connection to her music, which continues to push the boundaries of genre and narrative.
