T1D & Kilimanjaro with Katerina Marcello

Today, I sit down with my wife, Katerina Marcello. As someone who does not live with Type 1 Diabetes, Katerina represents those who are still affected by T1D, encountering it daily as a support system.  Together, we recount our recent ascent of Kilimanjaro– at 19,341 ft, the tallest mountain in Africa. In early 2026, we trekked via the Machame Route on a seven-day journey to the summit, Uhuru Peak.
