Taboo...Yardies with Selena Blake and Drew Angel

Taboo...Yardies is a film that chronicles the anti-homosexual climate in Jamaica.  This documentary is a searing, at times poignant depiction of the many perspectives surrounding the topic of intolerance and violence towards same gender loving (SGL) lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender living in Jamaica.  Taboo...Yardies give voice to those Jamaicans who are pro, con and everwhere in between this highly controversal matter.  Selena Blake producer and director has made some inroads in her mission to share her film and the stories of Jamaican people who have long suffer from brutal treatment by their follow countrymen and a political system that offers little protection. Joining her will be Drew Angel a hip hop/dancehall recording artist/songwriter uses his muisc to be the voice for a community that has been silenced for too long.  Drew Angel believes there's something that needs to be done to bring awareness to the discriminatory practices in Jamaica and the world at large where LGBT people are being subjected to inhumane treatment daily.
