Tacoma Transit Enthusiast Chris Karnes

from Move to Tacoma Podcast

Chris Karnes is passionate about transit, and has a blog that covers transit issues in depth at TacomaTransit.com. Chris grew up using public transportation in Tacoma and began at age 14. His parents moved to Tacoma’s Lincoln District when he was 5. While his parents worked full time Chris used public transit to get around and explore Tacoma by taking advantage of youth passes. Chris would use the bus to explore the entire city- Stadium District, Point Defiance, Old Town, Main Library in Tacoma, Hilltop, Steilacoom, and University Place. Recently Chris has become a homeowner in Tacoma’s Hilltop Neighborhood, citing the link light rail expansion as a major selling point. Chris also works downtown and is Chair of Pierce Transit’s advisory board (CTAG). The post Tacoma Transit Enthusiast Chris Karnes appeared first on Move to Tacoma.
