To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.📖 Verse 25 – The Quraysh’s Stubbornness🔹 وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًۭا ۖ وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كُلَّ ءَايَةٍۢ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِهَا🔹 “And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed coverings over their hearts so they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears. Even if they see every sign, they will not believe in it.”🔹 The Secret Hobby of Abu Jahl & Al-Walid Ibn Mughira• Despite publicly opposing Islam, Abu Jahl and Al-Walid Ibn Mughira would sneak out at night to listen to the Quran recited by the Prophet ﷺ.• Why? The beauty of the Quran mesmerised them, but their arrogance prevented them from accepting it.• Al-Walid ibn Mughira, the best poet in Makkah, admitted:• “This is not poetry.”• “This is not magic.”• “This is something beyond human ability.”🔹 Yet, they still rejected it. Why?✔️ Arrogance.✔️ Fear of losing status and power.✔️ Tribal rivalry.💡 Lesson: Some people recognise the truth but refuse to accept it because of their ego.
