Taison Chatman Joins Utah, Boosts Runnin' Utes

Taison Chatman, a six-foot-four guard from Ohio State, has committed to Utah for the 2026-27 season. The former top-forty recruit, who averaged 4.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game last season, will join the Runnin Utes backcourt alongside Jackson Holcombe. Chatmans arrival addresses Utahs need for depth after losing Terrence Brown to the portal and Don McHenrys eligibility ending. Despite injuries in the past, including a knee issue in 2024 and earlier surgeries, Chatman brings perimeter shooting to the team. As a blue-chip prospect, this move to Salt Lake City could help him fulfill his high school promise and contribute significantly to Utahs success.
