Take A Load Off

{ I'll carry the weight If you carry it too Take a load off me I'll take a load off you that's how it's s’posed to be Two trees from one entity Tangling branches, roots their own siphoning } Wouldn't ask you to take me at my word I know how fools are made But time is on our side & I'm headed for a parade Where everyone is watching And no one feels alone I heard about it once upon And now I long to go Chorus Well, I've learned It doesn't have to hurt When the hurricane blows through If you've got the right foundation Ain't nothing the wind can do So I built a structure with long legs and a wooden stove for a heart Boarded up all the window panes Even got the generator to start Chorus Last night I looked at the stars And only saw the moon Last night I looked at the stars And I was looking at you I'll carry I'll carry I'll carry My share The cart is corralling the mountain is calling I know you’ll meet me there Take a load off Take a load off me I'll take a load off take a load off you I'll carry the weight If you carry it too Take a load off me I'll take a load off you
