Is it time for a pause? What if you took today (or the following week) as a breather? This week’s theme (June 14-19) is inspired by hexagram 12, all about stopping before you act, speak or create. It’s about meditation and purposeful inaction. Being aware that we are all social beings to one degree or another, this hexagram points to the importance of withdrawing from the social scene now and then. You could imagine you are standing still at a gate. Will you go through? Take your time. More importantly, be aware. Is what you’re about to do or say going to be received? Is what you’re thinking about doing or saying feel true to you? If not, keep standing still until you’re in the mood or it feels right to go ahead. Sometimes you may have the feeling that what you’re about to say will catalyze major change... and this hexagram brings a natural caution. It keeps you safe from being burned at the stake for your radical, challenging, thoughts that are scary to the mainstream! Speak and act this coming week, only when it feels right to do so.
