Take a Reset Day

from The Red Door Reset · host George Escalante

For this episode of The Red Door Reset, I sat down with my friend Chaplain Mike Caruso from Sweet Home, Oregon. We’re spending the weekend at Portland International Raceway, enjoying the Grand Prix of Portland with a couple of friends. Just guys being guys, enjoying the races, laughing, talking, and taking some time to reset.During our conversation, Mike shares a little about the good work he and his wife, Karen Caruso, are doing in Sweet Home and what it means to simply show up and serve people well. But there’s another reason I wanted to share this conversation.Sometimes we need a reset day.A day where you’re not defined by your title, your profession, or what everybody needs from you. A day to simply be you. To laugh. To enjoy something you love. To spend time with good people.Whatever you do for a living, don’t lose that part of yourself. You can love your work. You can love serving people. You can be passionate about your calling. But you still need moments when you step away and recharge. As I always say:Make time for your wellness, or you’ll be forced to make time for your sickness.Take the reset day.Know that you are loved. Be where your feet are planted.
