Unity and New Thought teach the tools of denial and affirmation. Denials have a similar purpose as that of soap and water. It refers to cleansing or releasing a belief that no longer serves us. Affirmation is about making a new choice about the beliefs to which we will say yes. Denials and affirmations can be summed up in this gardening term: pull the weed and plant the seed.
