Take Your Ego Out of the Equation!

from Sweat Out; Happiness In! · host Jason and Lauren Pak

What's up, Achievers?! So a couple of things about this episode - first it's actually episode 156 not 155, aaaand Lauren's audio cuts out a bit for the last 2 minutes. Sorry in advance! However, the rest turned out gravy and the topic is so, so important for long term fitness success. EVERYONE has their ego wrapped up in their workouts in some capacity. Lauren and I have been trying to get out of this mindset and sometimes we can't help it either. And when our ego takes a hit, we find that we get frustrated really easily, we irrationally do things like push through pain and not listen to our bodies, and ultimately resent the process instead of enjoying it. Only by taking ego out of the equation, can one truly enjoy the process again, adopt a beginner/explorer's mindset, and get better at their craft for the long term. We hope you enjoyed this episode! If you did, we’d love you forever if you left a rating and review on iTunes - it seriously helps us out a lot!
