Taking a Growth Mindset Approach to Post-Pandemic Learning Recovery

from edWebcasts · host D2L

This edWeb podcast is sponsored by D2L.The webinar recording can be accessed here.As we emerge from the pandemic, our K-12 system grapples with two primary challenges: (1) learning recovery; and (2) updated expectations for more flexible learning pathways. In this edWeb podcast, we explore how a single approach centered around growth mindset can address both dynamics. Fundamental to post-pandemic education is the collective understanding that a more flexible, authentic, and personalized approach to learning is both optimal and attainable. Our educator panel shares research and instructional strategies that were successful this past year, and how these can be applied to support deeper, engaging, and impactful learning approaches. These methods are consistent with the immediate task of learning acceleration and the systemic goal of a more personalized and equitable pathway to success for all students. We address student engagement and connectedness by exploring concepts such as whole-child learning methods, mastery-based learning, authentic and deeper learning tasks, and models to support the needs of all learners, regardless of their differences. This edWeb podcast is of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders. D2LWe’re transforming the way the world learns.Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
