Takeaways Technology and social media use among children and teenagers pose significant challenges and risks. Collaboration and conversation are essential in addressing digital wellness and online safety. Legislation is needed to protect minors from online harms and ensure responsible technology use. Parents can promote digital wellness by limiting screen time and delaying social media for young children. Dawn has trained over 20,000 students, families, and community members. All trainings are age appropriate and cover topics including physical and mental health, online harms, safer phone settings, laws surrounding unsafe phone use, and more. Dawn’s husband, Matt, founded and runs an outdoor mentorship organization for young men. As they raise their own three boys they are walking this road alongside all parents and kids living in a digital world. Approaching this issue with grace is their goal.
