Talk Travel Asia - Episode 40: Tantalizing Travel Tales 3

What makes travel so memorable? Many times it’s simply visiting a new land, a new culture, experiencing new foods and seeing exotic animals. Other times it’s because we’ve gotten outside of our comfort zone, testing ourselves with new challenges that we couldn’t experience back home. But a sure byproduct of traveling are the great stories we acquire along the way and the fun it is to share them with others. This is the third episode sharing some of our tantalizing travel tales, a series in which we’ve told stories about when we got outside our comfort zone, experienced unexpected cultural or logistical challenges, and found ourselves in unusual situations. At the time, many of these adventures seemed like nightmarish scenarios, where our own ignorance or naivite placed us in situations where we didn’t know how to react. But in the end, they taught us something valuable about the nature of travel: things don’t always go as planned and although things may have seemed problematic at the time, in the end they make for pretty good stories.
