Talkin' Thrones Episode 10 - Fire & Blood (Season 1 Finale)

Happy Fourth of July people! This is it, we made it! One full season recap of Game of Thrones in the books! Professor Pat & I have had a ton of fun with this interesting little experiment as we recapped all of Season 1, and we hope you guys continue to tune in each week going forward because the craziness is only going to ramp up as we continue to recap the rest of the show! But first, this season 1 finale! In this pre-recorded episode, we break down the relationship between the previous episode and this one and how it sets up Game of Thrones formula going forward. How the penultimate episode always contains something huge, before the finale is usually a reaction to said huge event, before we rinse and reset for the next season. We break down how this episode wrapped up some of the major arcs remaining of the season, including Joffrey & Sansa, Arya, Robb, Cat, Tyrion and Jon before we end by doing our focus character and GOT-chaverse segments with the one and only Daenerys Targaryen, who's decision in this episode results in the birth of her three dragons. Season 1 may not have been as good as we remember, but it was still a momentuous and important season in the canon of the show. We're going to be taking next week off, but we will be back the following week with our Season 2 premiere.
