Talkin' Thrones Episode 5 - The Wolf & the Lion

On the latest episode of #talkinthrones, Dom & Pat break down Episode 5 of this tale of Ice & Fire, The Wolf and the Lion. This was the episode where things really came to a head. Ned Stark is full on into the investigation of Jon Arryn's death, particularly after the death of his squire. Arya stumbles upon some plottings, Varys and Littlefinger are at each other's throats, Tyrion is being taken by Catelyn to see her sister Lysa, and it ends with Ned being cornered by Jaime Lannister and impaled through his leg. The focus character of tonight's episode was one Robert Baratheon, portrayed by Mark Addy, who had several impressive moments on tonight's episode. The opening scene with Ned Stark, the small council scene and the last scene he has with Cersei do so much to highlight the conflict within this character. And finally, we talk about Robert's tumultuous marriage to Cersei Lannister and how it's led them to where they are now.
