The Current Affairs Group that meets at One Tree Books discussed affordable housing - there’s around a 6 year wait here for some affordable housing with its lower rents. Linda Wallace from PHA (whose properties are all affordable housing in Petersfield), spoke about what affordable housing is, the challenges around it and how they have £8m to invest in new community projects. Frank Campbell from a Community Land Trust near Emsworth spoke about their community-led project that provides 12 homes for local people and why they also invested in community assets.
