Talking Finance - 13 April 2017
from Talking Finance · host The Constant Investor
We've harvested a bumper crop of medical marijuana for this week's Talking Finance. In February 2017, Australia legalised the importing of cannabis for medicinal applications. People who suffer from chronic pain, epilepsy, and even some cancers may soon have access to what some say is a miracle worker. Investors already have access to some listed companies producing the goods. Siblings Stewart Washer and Elaine Darby are at the forefront of this branch of the healthcare industry. Stewart heads up Zelda Therapeutics, an offshoot of an American company working on clinical trials. Elaine Darby's company AusCann supplies Zelda with its product. Seeing the weed through the trees, Brett Mitchell left mining to start MCG Pharmaceuticals. And Creso Pharma is producing medical cannabis for animals, so Rover and Tiddles will soon be anxiety free.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
