Talking FTD: Managing the Hyper Behaviors

from Caring Conversations Hosted by Caregiving Podcast Network

Rebekah Wilson will join Sharon Hall to discuss the hypers--a caree's hyper sexuality, orality, OCD, or as Sharon calls them, the "icky parts" of caring for a family member with FTD. Sharon cares for her husband, diagnosed with FTD in the fall of 2015, and moderates our weekly FTD chat on CareGiving.com. You can call into the live 30-minute show with your questions or email them to [email protected] prior to the show. This podcast recording also will be available on CareGiving.com's website after the show. CareGiving.com hosts a chat for those who care for a family member with FTD every Monday at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT, 5 p.m. MT, 4 p.m. PT). About Rebekah Rebekah Wilson, MSW, is a dementia care specialist, trainer and aging care coach with fourteen years of experience in elder care services including hospice, home health care, assisted living, and care management. In these arenas, she has used her specialties in teaching, community outreach, marketing, and developing innovative strategies for providing comfort care for seniors and their care partners. She serves as a dementia care coach mentoring care partners in developing individualized non-pharmacological interventions and innovative care solutions.
