Dr. Gilbert is a graduate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she was in small animal private practice until she learned of an opening for a veterinarian at a local animal shelter. She jumped at the opportunity and has built and incredible career from there. She shares a lot of great insights about working in shelter medicine and what her day ‘typically’ looks like and also how to keep a positive perspective on things.
