Talve is known for scoring the first two seasons of Apple TV+’s PREHISTORIC PLANET, narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Jon Favreau in collaboration with BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit. The score received global acclaim, including a Primetime Emmy nomination, a win for Best Original Score for a Documentary Series at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and a nomination for the 2022 Bulldog Television Broadcast Awards. Other recent scores included THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ for Sky TV alongside Hans Zimmer, the Baz Luhrmann-directed FARAWAY DOWNS, THE AMERICAS, starring Tom Hanks, as well as serving as principal composer on the iconic animated series THE SIMPSONS since season 30. In May 2026, for TALKING SOUNDTRACKS on the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST, Jason Drury had the pleasure of talking to Kara via Zoom at her studio in Santa Monica. During the interview, amongst other things, they talked about her career to date, how she joined Bleeding Fingers and how she works for the organization.
