We had a damn good positive day. So without further ado, my friends, let's quickly recap all of yesterday's best bets of the day from your boy from April 7, 2020. Oh, look at that live from the federal landmark, baby. I messed up.
I messed up and didn't bring graphics to yesterday's show. So clearly I had to bring the heat today. Thursday's best best best of the day recap for 7 2022. The cubbies, ditching the Mr.
Kyle Hendricks, the prof over three and a half days, judging both of those bad boys, both the plus money. How about that? What do you know about that? Hey, how about that?
Little guy down there pushing the guardians. That's right. They pushed the first five Moneyline, tied one one with the Kansas City Royals after that first five and the triple play parlay far side of the screen because of those dog on pirates. I thought everybody being on the Cardinals minus one and a half.
I guess I should have known it the more experts I started to see come out and really like the pirates on the money line. I should have known that they were going to lose somewhere around nine to nothing. I should have put it out. My apologies.
I also made a parlay with the Mets Moneyline, the Astros first five plus a half and the Diamondbacks Moneyline courtesy for our good friend at Joe D'Amico wins friends of this friend of the show and Deon De Mico friends of talking to line sports media. He gave out the Arizona Diamondbacks on the Moneyline. I took him first five plus a half because I did like it and then I did sprinkle on that as well and put it in the parlay. So when it up having a terrific evening, I will go going forward. I will start to put those out.
It was just a little bit of additional sprinkling and I never like to give the perception that I'm chasing because I did. I did put those out later on in the day and I preach on the show. Do not chase. If you do not have a good start to your day, do not chase.
And I kind of I didn't want that perception to come out. So sometimes I will add some stuff throughout the day, but just believe me, I do not chase it is because I am very firm in it. I'm very confident in it and I'm never going to go beyond my means. If there's a bank roll that I have there, I'll go a quarter unit.
I'm not going to put myself in a bad situation. So just a little food for thought there, something for y'all to think about. But there you go. There you have it.

We'll run through all that. We'll talk about all that. And then I'll briefly run through NBA and then NHL as well. But obviously everybody wants to talk about MLB this time of the year and I have a shitload of picks.

Somebody wants to have her voice heard an opinion had on this year show, but I'm not. We're just not going to have it today. So we're going to kick things off here, my friends, with my cubbies once again. See, she could care less about me unless she's locked out of the room and then she's got to cry the whole time and worry about me.

We won't see this whole dog on this thing. Let's focus on this thing. Not NBA. Okay.
First pitch, 120 PM Central. We got rotation number 909, 910. We got the Chicago cubbies going up against the Milwaukee Brewers. Had one hell of a day been on my cubbies yesterday, my friends.
But I'm saying so far away from this matchup today. It is not even funny. If I was a betman, oh wait, that's right. I am.
I would tell you to back the Brewers in this spot here today as a cubby fan. What the hell did you just say? Don't you dare ever think about something like that. We bleed blue and red till the day we die over here.
I understand I get that. But this line really, really scares me. And I really think that Brandon Woodruff has a little bit of fire underneath him, a little bit of gumption. And we talked about yesterday on the midday Mac report, shout out Jeff Dawson, these sports investors.
That what better time to give all the public a beautiful plus money line yesterday, open it right around the same exact thing, maybe take it down a little bit and then rip the rug right out from underneath them the very next day. So it's kind of what I see happening with the total being set so low. I could see this going over, but not because of good reasons because of maybe some bullpen issues. I don't know.
So I'm telling you, I'm not getting involved. I'm just going to enjoy this one as a fan here today. That's kind of where my temperature is. Obviously, you know, I pretty much called yesterday's game.
I got a good feel for the cubbies and where they're at and what's going on and especially no one lines and being able to read lines and movement now. I'm not saying nothing's easy in this game, but it makes it a lot easier to kind of tell you what the hell is it going on with the Cubs. Now, all the other teams that I'm not as involved in, I can't tell you a dog on thing. Well, I guess I can from a petty perspective, but not from the whole in live in the city perspective.
Moving right along. I don't know what the hell I'm even saying at this point. Next one up on tap rotation number 9.11 9.12. We got a 3 10 PM Central time first pitch live from Colorado.
We got the Dodgers against the Rockies Walker Bueller taking on Kyle Freeland. Obviously Walker Bueller minus 210 minus 200 favorite across the markets. Dodgers being them as well. Yeah, obviously that's the side.
I'm never going to tell you the late two bills with a chalk in any situation. The minus one and a half might be a little interesting, but I don't know. Kyle Freeland is pretty dog on good and I'm not going to write him off before I've even seen him out of half a star so far this season. So not to say the Walker Bueller is going to be bad or anything, but I have no play out of this matchup with the total being set at 11 and a half.
I'm going to tell you that I would take the under to like 100%. I would take the under. That's too many dog on points. Here we go.
Too many dog on runs. All right, let's get into the right season here. We go right. I was big smiles.
Right. I was big smiles. I had to go too many dog on runs. And I think it was.
Yeah, it was last year. It was maybe even two years in a row, but it was for sure last year that the under in course field was absolutely bananas because they would give you all of the. They would give you such high totals because the Rockies obviously played difficult opponents being the division they're in, but they would not allow these games to go over. And I mean, obviously you get with the atmosphere to and the thick weather or the thick air and making balls fly and stuff and y'ha.
But it's still early in the year. Like I said yesterday with Wrigley balls are not going to be flying out of the park and they clearly weren't like guys that hit it just right. Like, you go on or hit a perfect ball like he and half hit a perfect ball and hit off the bottom of the case like balls were not carrying out yesterday. And I think it's still too early in the year for balls to really be jumping off the bat and course.
So I like the under in that game at anything, but I am not telling you that's an official pick at all. That is just kind of a kind of a thought. Hey, hi, you darn. Okay.
Next one up on tap. I did not realize this was at 3.35 PM Central time. Let me make sure that's right. That's weird.
I did not really unless they moved that up. I did not know that. Wow. I'll be damned if it ain't.
Why do they have this past afterwards though? That's not what we want. I went to 3 o'clock. I'm sorry.
Let me go. Geez, I don't know why they have this past. I was going to the next one up on tap because I do have a play out of this. Okay, that's that's weird.
Let me my apologies. I didn't realize this wasn't I was like, yeah, what the hell is going on here. Okay. So yeah, that doctor's Colorado one will skip it when we get to it.
But yeah, that's later technically the next one on tap or the first one on tap of the day. I'm sorry. I actually have a play out of this matchup. I don't know what the hell I'm doing over here.
I am asleep at the wheel for crying out loud. I was going right down the dog on list here also. What in the world? Oh, they got the right in games down here as well.
Rodriguez and back in the hell out of G. Alito. Number one is everybody's looking at the white Sox ability to hit left-handers and I don't disagree with them, but this is a new year. New season.
This is their first game. Who knows if that's actually going to stay accurate? Who knows if that's going to be the same exact thing? Who knows if the books are setting them up?
And if they're so damn good against lefties, I would anticipate or they were going to mash the hell out of this lefty rather I would anticipate this line be much, much longer, maybe even them teetering even further into the minus 200 category on their money line. It simply is not that and G. Alito is being a little bit overvalued here today, in my opinion. But we'll get into all of that.
Let's start things off with Rodriguez. He is the former Red Sox pitcher actually. He did have struggle parts portions in and of the season, but early on in the year, he wasn't too bad. He actually doesn't have an official start against this white Sox team, but he does have a good handful of that bats faced against them.
49 at bats against this team, or against this lineup rather, 18 strikeouts, only three walks, 8 hits allowed, 198 average allowed, 238 OBP and a 571 OPS. So he's done pretty damn well against some of the bigger sticks in this lineup. And I look like he dominates the white Sox today contrary to popular opinion. Also contrary to popular opinion, I think G.
Alito kind of struggles here today. Everybody's already on him. Oh, give me the over the K props this, that in the third. And I'm honestly begging to differ against Detroit in his career.
He has really struggled five games against them 29 and two thirds innings pitch, but he carries a 5.16 ERA. I would not be surprised to see him give up two or three and not in home run fashion. I see the Tigers playing small ball and spray in G. Alito all over the park all day today.
He traditionally is not good to start off the year either. Last April, he had a 5.68 ERA that was over the entire month. He just does not start the year hot. And also this game is starting off the day.
It is a day game and G. Alito has never been good in the day games. Last year he carried a 4.31 ERA in day games alone with a solid sample size. So it's just not a good spot for G.
Alito and it's a damn good spot for Rodriguez. So I'm honestly banking on the pitchy matchup. I'm not telling you that the Tigers are going to be winning the first five outright. Well, maybe they are, but at least we get the half run backing.
I absolutely love it to be tied. And then I like the Tigers just week out at the end for a little half-unit sprinkle to pull away for a win in their home opener. You don't believe me in all of this, my friends. I got to scroll down over here, my apologies.
But keep an eye out. I mean, this lineup is stacked. Tucker Barnhart, Shoop, Candelario, Harvey Bayes, Austin Meadows, and Kiela Dew. Obviously, Migiigi, Miguel Cabrera, hello, and then Grossman.
I mean, they have bats up and down this lineup. But if you don't believe me in all that, believe the trends. Detroit, 4-1, straight up, last five home games, Versaieride, Chicago, 3-9, straight up, last 12 road games, Versaier Lefty, Chicago's also 1-4, straight up, their last five on grass, and the Tigers are 4-1, straight up, the last five meetings with the Sox when they play in Detroit. Give me all the Tigers, first five, a run line, plus a half in the full game money line, for a half-unit, the first bet, boy, full unit.
I'll recap everything later, but there you go. My first two best bets of the day, and I'm absolutely juiced on it, my friends. So there you go. There you have it.
Tigers got me a lot of money in this spot last year, and I'm already seeing it again. I am so dog on excited. In addition to Seattle literally put on my headstone, we'll take Detroit Tigers first five plus a half at minus 130. No question.
Moving right along, my friends. Let's see. What's the next one up on tap? Oh, set.
I'm already good to go. I'm already ready to rock them over. The next one, here we go. Going down here, 205, first pitch rotation number 929-930.
We have the Oakland Athletics going up against the Philadelphia Phillies. No let taking the bump for the Phillies and Frankie Montas, my boy, for the Athletics. I guess you know where I'm going at this point in time. We're taking the age first five money line plus or run line.
I'm sorry. First I run line plus a half right at plus 100. The odds are and this one reminds me very eerily similar to Hendricks and the Cubs being undervalued yesterday. It is the exact same line.
It's the exact same movement. It is moved down from plus 106 this morning, and I'm not saying it's going to be the exact same shakeout. I think it's going to be sweaty again, but I think we're going to catch this side. No problem about it.
It just feels exactly like the ticket we catch yesterday point blank period. I saw it in the line jumped out off the board of me. One of the main reasons why I got into kind of research on this and I saw it did have the same exact value is because that pitch arsenal from the pitching match up that I'm going to be able to catch this side. Much Arsenal from the pitching match up that I talked about yesterday.
It is crazy. That is the exact same odds. It's bananas. Told you again, Frankie Montas against Aaron, you see it there.
Montas has never faced Philadelphia in his career and that really doesn't matter to me because I think they're going to have trouble not having any real in bad or in the batter box experience against him and they really struggle against the arsenal that he throws. He's not a fastball much like Kyle Hendricks that I told you yesterday is his second best pitch, but he actually likes to throw the split a little bit more his first best pitch is that sinker and then he throws the slider on the back and that is just absolutely nasty. I'm telling you this filly's lineup they are going to struggle against Montas's arsenal here today And I don't think they're gonna be able to put up any runs on him in the first five Which is beautiful for us because I think Nola if he doesn't I think he might give up a runner too I'm not telling you that the A's are gonna win the first five out right But I do definitely think that they have this bad boy pushed no problem about it because the A's lineup really hits well against these guys And what have I been saying guys who depend on the fastball usually the ones that struggle early on in the season He relies heavily on the four seam and then he's just got a bunch of different pitches outside of that He relies on the curve chain sinker and the cutter. I'm not worried about it Just a bunch of different pitches coming in this uh this A's lineup is very very solid against those pitches I look deep into it Especially a guy that relies heavily on the fastball if he's not able to locate some of those off-speed pitches He's not able to get those into zone and he gets behind in the count and he has to start relying on the fastball and starts messing up and leaving it in Bad locations.
I'm just saying my friends I'm not saying that the A's are going to be winning out right but I do believe they are But I'll gladly take the hook that the books are willing to give me with them in the first five and the juicy plus money polyads With the cross cross-league east west whooper in what I'm pointing the Oakland athletics first five plus a half plus 100 Okay, we keep it moving right along my friends from 929-30. I'll be kept that one a little bit later as well But let me slide back on over here. I gotta keep myself on pace to do anything. I'm doing everything I'm doing over here.
Let's see. What's next? I'm up on tap 2.05 was there 2 10. Okay, 2 10 Baltimore Tampa Bay actually do have a play out of this matchup, but it is on the Friday 4 pack part lace So stick around for that already did 3 10 the Dodgers in Colorado 335 you do not say Rotation number 913 and 914.
This is the Miami Marlins with set we'll say the alcateira on the mound And they're going up against them. Just go giant slogan web on the mound now my friends I do have two plays out of this matchup yet again And we're going to the dog once again in the spot and I absolutely love them We're taking Miami. I'm taking if you want to back me. Either way, I don't know either way Whatever you tune into the show to do but uh, hey taking Miami Marlins first five plus a half for a full unit minus 122 And then we're taking the Miami Marlins full game money line for a half unit right around plus 120 so I saw that Calling at the NL liquidator, baby And let me tell you why I am over the moon with this play It really reminds me a lot of the Diamondbacks pricing yesterday shot out again Joe D'Amico for the tip on that I did say it on the show.
I was like wow this movement seems really weird I don't know what's about this and then I called the free pick line and I saw was there I said well, I'll be damn now I really have to hammer it in What really sold me on this matchup though was that pitching matchup I love Logan Webb and I will not deny it and I think we're gonna have plenty of opportunities to catch tickets on him and the Giants in the first five this year I just think today it's gonna be a bad matchup and I think it's a little bit set up of a setup for the general public because Sandy Alcon terror is damn good and he's pitched twice against this Giants team Wouldn't you know both of them were absolutely terrible so I think third time is gonna be the charm in those two games He's gone 11 and a third innings and he carries a 4.76 ERA I think we see positive regression my friends because he's seen 59 at bats against this lineup He has also held them to a hunt 183 batting average to 11 OBP a 510 OPS and he does still have 13 Ks against this exact lineup So it was just a couple of goofy earned runs a couple of weird days where the wind was blowing out in San Francisco Whatever the case might have been third time's a charm I think Al Conterra shows up here today and I'm not telling you that web is going to super struggle But it's also very interesting that this line is so short you see it right there minus 140 minus 130 someone that ballpark across the market You see right there and in his lone appearance against the Miami Marlins Logan Webb went seven innings And gave up no runs so the lines of this short in a picture that's been this dominant against a team like that I don't know my friends and I mentioned it some guys that really start the season slow just year in and year out They kind of stick to that trend and that's not the Logan web does he started last year in April carry to 4.13 ERA And I like him to kind of be right around that I'm not saying that he gets absolutely obliterated today But I do believe this game is going to be tied at the bare minimum whether it's 1 1 2 2 3 3 At the end of five and I think we have the great value here And I think we see a little bit of hiccups from the Giants bullpen going deep into it and Some craziness happens and the dolphins the the Marlins are able to walk this one off So there's my fourth and fifth best bet or whatever the hell it is I'll recap them again later blood time Miami Marlins first five plus a half or full unit And then the Miami Marlins on the money line for a full unit even moving. Uh, let's see here That was 335. So we what we got four o'clock Four no five six. Okay, let's see here six 20 would be the next oh six or seven Texas Toronto actually do have a play out of that that that is only Friday for pack part life So stick around for that.
Uh, let's see six 20 Cincinnati and Atlanta. I'm gonna avoid this one Um, I just think these teams have a lot of like proven to do and where they are and like chemistry and guys coming back This is I don't know a lot of a lot of question marks I mean, I'm gonna tell you obviously I'm all over Atlanta But I just don't think there's any value anywhere you need to get involved because who knows Charlie Morton could hit the skids real fast and quick In a hurry against Cincinnati. I don't know anything about saying Martin I'm just gonna go into sit back watching take some thanks notes on this game for future betting purposes So there you go rotation number 917 918 Cincinnati versus Atlanta. Let's see there's six seven eight o'clock would be Hmm here we go 838 p.m.
Central. We got Houston with Jake O'Dorissi on the mound going up against the angels looks like Ross deadmer's But I don't know why he's red I'm kind of thinking that means he's gonna be out, but I'm not 150 sold on that and they're not making I don't know I don't know what they're gonna do there but we're chasing over 927 928 Uh, that one is gonna be played in LA. I would be looking It didn't come out when I was looking at this morning But I would be interested in Astros first five or online plus I have I'm gonna see what it ends up in keep an eye on it I'll let you know if I end up making a play on that one But uh, just keep your eyes peeled at the end of the day Keeping a movement keeping a grooving the next one up on tap. We didn't do that 840 here we go. San Diego again against Arizona. This is actually the Yeah, closing matchup of the day. Oh, we didn't talk about this one too.
Goodness gracious I got this all over the map. I wish they would have made this a little more alphabetical. What hey, it is what it is Okay, here we go. Uh, let's go back to this one here rotation number 933 and 934 And then we will go back to do do do do do do do what's the next one?
Oh, uh, 910 or 919 and 920 So we'll wrap those two up and then we'll briefly talk about him. Yeah, and then we'll get on about today my friends So without further ado here we go. Uh, we have rotation number 933 and 934 first pitch at 3 10 p.m Central, uh, is the Seattle Mariners with Robbie Ray on the mountain. Hey, Robbie Ray fresh in the Seattle uniform going up against the minnesota twins And john ryan, uh, I do have a play out of this matchup And i'm very excited to be able to play this matchup yet again I can't wait to be able to back the mariners all year long because I think they're going to have crazy value with this rotation and everything They got going on But i am going back to the first five yet again here my friends and i am taking the mariners first five run line plus half right about minus 140 Is where i caught it at i started up to minus 144 by the time i had uh, had started the show everything like that But honestly again comes down to the pitching match up.
Uh, Robbie ravers joe ryan already mentioned it ray Uh, is honestly this is not a demotion for him being sent to the mariners like the mariners are trying to do some special this year And I really really think they do so keep your eyes peeled for that. Uh, we'll see what happens But this is a great spot for uh, Robbie ray. Uh, he's day games number one there his forte last year Uh, he held a 1.8 e r a and 10 day games pitched. Uh, he always starts the seasons off strong as well In april last year he held a 2.78 e r a so look for him to do that as well And he does have one dominant start against minnesota So I think he builds upon that six and he's pitched against this line up with a 1.50 e r a 34 at bats 136 batting average 309 obp and a 549 ops with 13 k so I think he just builds upon that more dominance from ray And I think we see some struggling from ryan because this is only his second pro season my friends Uh, he really struggled last year.
He faced the cubs twice the indians guardians twice and the tigers once for a total of five games Respectively, he carried a 4.50 e r a 0.75 and 11.57 e r a against host three teams He really struggled at home and I think we see that to continue this year 6.14 e r a in front of the home fans in minnesota And I really truly believe this mariners lineup absolutely tattoos him here today again I think the mariners are going to be winning this one outright But I will gladly take the hookbacking and pay a couple of quarters a little under a couple of quarters Just to be safe in case this bad boy is tied, but there you go My next best bet I will obviously recap it but these the outer mariners first five run mind plus half Okay, let me slide over here one more time, uh, and then we will wrap things up here with the mlb going through the entire slate there kids Uh, let's see here. That's good. That's good. We've done that.

Here's what this and that but didn't give you like really any actionable shit And maybe like here on Friday like damn I really wanted what the fuck do I start like whole activate whoa like I don't even know And I'm gonna give you one tried and true very easy way that you can start going down this path and this right here Going best five dollar five dollar my friends bookmarks fucking pen holder hold them things got all you dig You can slap it around. I mean simple five dollar pages filled With your ideas your thoughts your passions your dreams your goals your aspirations right here right now You get done with this show or whenever you get done with work Whatever the case might be stop it Walgreens on the way home and pick you up a journal if your life Is not where you want it to be? Go pick you up one of these and start writing some shit down number one You start putting pen to paper and writing goals It's gonna make you come back to them and stick them and if you have thoughts in your head that are just spinning around all day Instead of just letting them spin around and getting down rabbit holes No, my gosh, what the hell's going on with my life?
I'm to your journal start writing them down because then maybe putting that on paper You've seen it so wow that is really stupid when I write that down What the hell is wrong with me or well? That might be the next million dollar idea Who knows but it's on paper and guess what if you put it on paper? You ain't responsible for it anymore. This book is and you can come back to the book and say it yeah, well Yeah, you keep that book actually I mean this one this one what you can move from there you can shake from there Leave it in the book.
It's it's an everyday thing. It's starting to an everyday thing for me. I journal I I meditate I have no pads on notepads with me everywhere I go and just having starting with one simple journal and just starting writing down goals and how you can start to achieve those goals and Then doing those one two three four five six seven eight steps Whatever you just wrote down below those goals and literally check check check and watch you start reaching some day And goals instead of well, I would if I could if I should but I would if I don't if I don't know Fuck but if ands or maybe's we speak in absolutes here my friends I told you we're building this 2% community and we ain't accepting nothing less if I'm speaking to you right now And you're not understanding you're not comprehending we'll pull up a check cuz we got a couple more things to talk about number one Slap this bad boy open if you don't have any goals You don't have any dreams you don't have any aspirations, but you're feeling in a rut Tea across the dog on page and I wrote a fucking line there because I didn't mean to but I didn't really like put a tea across the dog on page My book look at that. I'm such an idiot I'll watch that off later tea right across pros cons and literally The pros of keeping doing what you are doing right now and the cons of keeping doing what you are doing right now And if one side outweighs the other you know what the move is and you might think that's an awful idea at all It can't be that simple cold life isn't that so bullshit it ain't I you if I dig to biffer my friends because I used to fucking spin in my Heads I used to get worried I used to lose my mind.
I used to fly off the damn handle every single day I could not figure out what the hell I want to do with my life I could send an erection I could not get thoughts out, but I'll tell you what my friends I started writing them down I started making pros and cons lists and all be dog-gone if things didn't start moving and shaking because I started to have some sense of direction So I suggest you get yourself a journal I suggest you start writing things down things come to your mind write it down get it out of your mind come back to it Right more thoughts on it whatever the case might be and then start practicing this Conceptualize that stuff write it down visualize that speak it into existence and repeat Conceptualize visualize repeat that's what we're doing over here, baby conceptualize visualize repeat and there ain't no question about it So maybe that's first thing you write down in your journal here today conceptualize visualize repeat And that does it for my motivation minutes of the day Okay, my friends that is episode number two one of fifty seven of the talking the line podcast It's time for me to get on up and get on out I'm gonna finish this UFC I'll do a couple things here on the back end and get ready for it absolutely Spectacular Friday filled with nothing but ticket cash and we got the first game going off here in but a short hour I actually know 53 minutes from now.
