The start of soccer season marks the open of the athletic calendar, traditionally, at Auburn. After a pair of exhibition matches last week, the Tigers open their 2024 season against #5 Clemson, Thursday at 6:30. Head Coach Karen Hoppa is in her 26th year on the Plains. She welcomed a new assistant coach at the start of preseason camp. Christina Wakefield came back to Auburn from Stephen F. Austin. She previously worked as a grad assistant coach with the Tigers.
