Visit them at higherpowerdrone.com Mayor John Rees’ Official Biography: Rees has served as mayor of Winter Garden for 13 years and was a city commissioner for 12 years prior. He also has served on boards of the city’s Planning & Zoning Board, as well as the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, Little League, YMCA, Health Central, Lake Apopka Natural Gas and the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation. He was chairman of the Winter Garden Recreation Board, and he served on the West Orange Committee of 101. He spent years coaching football, basketball and soccer at the Y; and coaching Pop Warner football and Little League baseball. Rees has been married to Linda Johnson, his childhood sweetheart, for 51 years, and they have two sons, Johnathan and Justin; and six grandchildren, Emily, Madison, McKenzie, Morgan, Abigail and John. The lifelong resident of Winter Garden graduated from Lakeview High School in 1967 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in accounting from Rollins College. Rees is a member of the First Baptist Church Winter Garden.
