Tama Potaka: Hamilton West MP on the byelection results

National Party candidate Tama Potaka has won the Hamilton West byelection. Tama Potaka has claimed the seat left vacant by Gaurav Sharma, beating out Labour candidate Georgie Dansey by 2285 votes. Tama Potaka says that the people of Hamilton are looking for change and that he'll be the strong political voice they need. He also observed that Hamilton West have been feeling frustrated with Labour in recent weeks and that they're looking for change and solutions to crime and the rising cost of living.
