When people say "it was a simpler time" it's probably being followed up by something pretty racist, but not in this episode! Our "simpler time" is all the way back in the 1990's, when Spice Girls roamed the Earth and dirty flannels were a fashion statement and the world hadn't been flooded in the pessimism that came with the explosion of the internet.
