Tammy Erste From Broken to Victory

from Moments of Grace Podcast · host Dr. A. Jerome R. Butler

Tammy Jean Erste, and I am 47 years old. · I have a Catholic church family background but became a non-denominational churchgoer as a young teen. · Although I cannot remember the exact moment I gave my life to Christ, I know I became a believer at a young age. · I come from a broken and dysfunctional home where I incurred a lot of abuse – mental, physical, emotional, and sexual. · I have worked odd jobs and as a restaurant server most of my life. · I had always enjoyed school and learning and desired to get my bachelor’s degree many years ago. · It was during the time of pursuing my bachelor’s that a seed was planted to attend seminary. · God led me to seminary to open the eyes of my heart and help me to understand the good news and what the Gospel was truly all about. · It was during this time God started to deal with me and my past. I received a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Grand Rapids Theological      Seminary in December 2020. My husband Matt and I just celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary. My husband is just a snapshot of God’s grace towards me, and I am not sure where I would be today without him coming into my life. We are a blended family with 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and 3 fur babies. I am working on writing my first book and have started a blog as a way to begin sharing my testimony and journey with others in hopes to lead others to faith in Jesus Christ. I      recently started speaking publicly about what God has done in my life and to tell others there is hope and forgiveness found in Christ Jesus alone.
