Tap ’er Light: Call to the Hall will be worth the wait

Last week was an exciting one for the Butte Sports Hall of Fame. We got to announce the 12 individuals and five teams being inducted this July 24-25 at the Butte Civic Center.That is when we get to see the excited reactions from the inductees and their families.Unfortunately, we also had to have some very hard conversations with family and friends of some worthy candidates who were not yet voted into the Hall of Fame. It makes the Butte Sports Hall of Fame announcements very bitter-sweet.However, we should choose to focus on the sweet with the knowledge that the worth candidates will one day get the call. When they do, it will be worth the wait.That is what today’s column is about.
