Durante a sessão, houve tumulto nas galerias da Alesp e manifestantes contrários à privatização entraram em confronto com policiais militares, que usaram gás de pimenta. A sessão foi interrompida e, depois, retomada. O governo de SP detém 50,3% das ações da Sabesp e a intenção é reduzir essa participação para algo entre 15% e 30%. O principal argumento é a antecipação da universalização do saneamento prevista no marco legal do setor.
