The topic of trade wars and the use of protective tariffs have not been a conversation that Christians typically want to have. Some just do not think it fits in any theological category. But during the reign of Cyrus the Great tariffs were an issue as Ezra tells us. So, just what do tariffs do? Are they a weapon to use against other nations? What does Scripture teach on this topic?
