Tasia Fortune’s death is now being treated as a homicide by Jackson police, marking a major shift from the previous suicide ruling in her case — one that echoes two other hanging deaths in the city last year. With the final autopsy pending, investigators are ramping up scrutiny as they await forensic results and pursue leads, including the arrest of her child’s father on unrelated charges. No suspects have been named yet, but the community watches closely as authorities work to uncover the truth behind this chilling case.
