Tatra National Park turns 75 (12.6.2024 16:00)

This year, Tatra National Park is marking the 75th anniversary of its founding. These mountains, with their vast network of caves, alpine lake, and rich biodiversity, have become a potent symbol of Slovakia. Even the national anthem is about the Tatras. To celebrate this anniversary and to mark the start of the summer travel season, we headed to Tatranska Lomnica. There we spoke with the director of communications for the national park, Nina Obžutová. Mrs. Obžutová shared some information about the Tatra mountains and gave us a tour of the national park museum and botanical gardens.
