Taxes & Economic Reform, part 1

from Commonwealth Classical Liberal Podcast · host Classical Liberal Party of Virginia

Episode 17. Taxes & Economic Reform, part 1. Brian and Andy start a two-part discussion exploring something important to all of us – our money! They look at the CLPVA’s positions on taxes and economic reform. The Party’s position states that “the sole purpose of government is to protect the inherent natural rights of all individuals and freedom of trade and commerce being critical to those ends, the proper scope and role of government is to maintain a fair and impartial rule of law in which individuals and commercial enterprises compete.” In this episode, they discuss the first three specific recommendations focusing on treating all businesses equally, attracting businesses to Virginia and the reduction of government spending on non-essential functions, especially those duplicating or competing with private enterprise.   Relevant links from this episode include: GDP by State List of U.S. states and territories by population   Learn more!
