Taxi driver shot by teen in attempted robbery in East Germantown, police say

A taxi driver was shot by a teenage boy police say tried to rob him in East Germantown on Wednesday. It was after 12 p.m. when police say the man was picking up someone in his Honda CR-V at the intersection of Price and Boyer streets. That's when a teenager — between 16 and 18-years-old — opened the passenger door and attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The driver was then shot in the chest as he tried to get away. Police say nothing was taken. He was taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition. The teen is described as a thin boy with a clean-shaven face and was seen wearing a red and black hoodie and black pants. Anyone who spots him is asked to call police. (Photo: NBC10)
