Tay Tay, Trash Talk & Fall Fun

Fall is here, and we’ve got a little bit of everything in this episode of KentNow. We’re talking new Taylor Swift music, the disappearing Hot Pocket crisping sleeve, and whether showing up to a job interview with an iced coffee is too casual. Then we get into City Business with an update on Mayor Dana Ralph’s proposed 2027–2028 budget before sitting down with Kent Conservation Coordinator Tony Donati to talk recycling — what residents have been dropping off, common recycling mistakes, what happens to collected materials, and what you need to know about upcoming recycling and paint collection events. Plus, we’ve got a look at what’s happening around Kent this October, including the Spotlight Series, recycling events and Green Kent’s Orca Recovery Day.
