Taylor and Dakota’s Fallout Exposed | Durham News

Season five of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” dives headfirst into the explosive drama between Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen, with new episodes airing after a two-month production pause that left Taylor off-camera. Flashbacks reveal the emotional fallout as castmates like Jen Affleck and Jessi Draper describe their friend group as “in shambles.” Taylor, still engaged to Doug Mason — whom she admits she’s emotionally entangled with, likening it to addiction — ultimately ended that relationship while also navigating her on-again, off-again romance with ex Ben Lambert. The final scenes before filming halted show Taylor accusing Dakota of trying to destroy her life. The pause followed an alleged February incident that led to mutual restraining orders and Dakota gaining temporary custody of their son. Now, authorities have confirmed Taylor won’t face charges, citing insufficient evidence. Both Taylor and Dakota have since spoken publicly: Taylor shares her healing journey on social media, while Dakota apologizes for his role in the toxic cycle and commits to building stability for his child.
