Vidcast: https://www.instagram.com/p/DcE5hQzRKVm/This recall follows a voluntary recall of fresh jalapeños by Coast Citrus Distributors and an FDA and CDC investigation of a multistate Salmonella outbreak linked to those peppers. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain and can sometimes cause serious or fatal systemic infections. Affected: finished products containing jalapeños with “Best If Used By” dates up to and including August 16, 2026 under brands and store names including Trader Joe’s, Freshness Guaranteed, Taylor Farms, Private Selection and unbranded labels at Hannaford, Kroger, Stop & Shop, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walmart and Whole Foods.The recalled products were sold in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Do not eat any of these recalled products containing jalapeños. Return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Questions?
