TBB Talks To… Artistic Director of the Unicorn Theatre Justin Audibert

Before becoming Artistic Director of the Unicorn Theatre, the UK’s leading professional theatre dedicated to producing inspiring and invigorating work for young audiences, Justin Audibert had established himself as a director, collaborating with organisations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, Southwark Playhouse and Soho Theatre. Over lockdown, Audibert’s calendar continued to be fully-booked as he directed the short film Joseph Knight for the National Theatre of Scotland and BBC Scotland, and wrote and directed the three episodes of Anansi the Spider Re-spun for the Unicorn Theatre Online and The Guardian.We caught up with Justin to find out what it’s been like running a theatre during a global pandemic, and to find out more about the return of Anansi the Spider Re-spun to the Unicorn Theatre as part of its Black History Month programme. Anansi the Spider Re-spun is now available to watch via the Unicorn Theatre's Youtube Channel.
