In episode 32, we talk about 4 different ways to use video to promote your brand. Using video online doesn't always mean you have to be standing in front of the camera. There are many different types of video you can use. In this episode we talk about 4 different types of video you can use to help engage your customers and build your authority in your chosen field. The four types of video we cover are: The explainer video The PowerPoint of Keynote voice over The screen capture video And of course the piece to camera video The explainer video, is a short (usually animated of hand drawn) video that explains a concept. These are great for explaining exactly what it is you do and how it works. They work best if you keep them short and to the point. Both those programs have a feature that allows you to record narration as you step through the slides in your slide deck. At the end of the presentation you can export the slides and accompanying narration as a video. Load it up to YouTube and away you go. These work week in an instructional seeing. Be careful though, they can get boring very quickly. Example Powerpoint / Keynote Voiceover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_WOQF1sMI8  A screenflow walkthrough is a recording or what is happening on the screen of your computer. These are great for explaining how a web app of piece of software works. They also work well in a support desk scenario where yo are trying to show a client how to do something. Example ScreenFlow Walkthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRQM8yaokd0  Lastly the piece to camera video. This works well for getting your potential clients to know, like and trust you. Nothing conveys a human message as well as video. You will need a bit of practice to pull these off however. You will also need a good microphone and some decent lighting.
