TBF 19 This BLACK Problem (Part 1)

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably at the very least heard the name George Zimmerman. If you haven't look it up, in 2013 he was acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin a young 17 year old black teenager. His death eventually led to the #BlackLivesMatter movement which you still hear of today. Well as of the 22nd of May 2016 the BBC reported that the gun used to kill Trayvon was sold at auction and was bought for $250000. The $500 gun sold for $250000 and the only reason simply was because it was used to kill an unarmed teenager and the killer walked free... At the furnace we turned our attention to what the real problem here could be, we look at what it means to be black, what society projects/expects of us, the struggles we faced and potentially what the solution could be, though that will be the topic of part 2. We were lucky to have the lovely Jemilea Wisdom-Baako in attendance and our special "political correspondent" Vincent Nimoh (@Ananenimoh on twitter) bringing some much needed alternative insights to the conversation. and the conversation is not done yet.
