Presenter: Alina and Katherina Topic: Cinema and films In this show, adult English language students in GO5 class talk about cinema and films. (GO5 is a general English course at pre-intermediate level at St Clare's, Oxford, UK.) Alina (Ukraine) and Katherina (Switzerland) chose the topic, prepared the questions, introduced the show and interviewed their classmates. We hear interviews with: Charlotte (Spain) Nasser (Saudi Arabia) Frank (China) Interview questions (If you are listening in class, you could ask a partner the interview questions, then choose one or more of the speakers and note their answers.) - What kind of films do you prefer? (action, comedy, romance, drama, black and white) - Do you prefer going to the cinema or watching DVDs at home? (Why?) - How often do you go to the cinema or watch DVDs? - Do you have a favourite actor? - If you could be a famous person, who would you like to be? - What film have you seen recently? After editing in GarageBand and (for noise removal and deletion of unnecessary silence) Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), the audio volume was leveled using the program Levelator (www.gigavox.com/levelator), and the file was converted to MP3 format using LameBrain (check at www.macupdate.com).
