Presenters: Anastasia and Miki Topic: Food In this show, adult English language students in GO2 class talk about food. Anastasia, from Russia, and Miki, from Japan (and more recently, Sweden!) chose the topic, prepared the questions, introduced the show and interviewed their classmates. We hear interviews with: Ludovica (Italy) Miguel (Switzerland) Thamer (Saudi Arabia) Eugenia (Italy) Salem (UAE) Gulten (Turkey) Interview questions (If you are listening in class, you could ask a partner the interview questions, then choose one or more of the speakers and note their answers.) 1. Where are you from? 2. What is a traditional national dish? 3. If you invited foreign people to your party, what would you cook? 4. Could you explain how to cook it or are there any special ingredients? 5. Do you like it? 6. Do you recommend it for us? 7. Why we should try it? 8. Could you tell us how most food tastes? This show was recorded in class, on group teacher, Geoff's, Apple MacBook Pro computer with the program Garageband. The Garageband jingle chosen by the class is "Biscotti". After editing in Garageband and Audacity (for noise removal and deletion of unnecessary silence), the audio volume was leveled using the program Levelator (www.gigavox.com/levelator), and the file was converted to MP3 format using LameBrain (check at www.macupdate.com).
